Trading halt

A trading halt is a temporary suspension of trading for an asset on an exchange, during which the asset cannot be traded on eToro.

Approved short definition: A temporary suspension of trading on an exchange. Example: If a stock is halted at the exchange, you cannot open or close positions on that stock on eToro until trading resumes. Do not use: Do not use “trading halt” as a synonym for a scheduled break, market closure, local regulatory restriction, or eToro-applied trading restriction.
