Last updated: 12 August 2026

Not available in EN-US — showing English.

All US residents can open an etoro investment account, including temporary residents.

We now offer stock and crypto investing to users holding any of these US visas: E-1, E-2, E-3, F-1, G-4, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN-1.

If you hold a US visa not listed here, you may be eligible for crypto trading.

Your visa must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the date you sign up for your etoro account.

How do I create an etoro account?

As soon as you have opened an etoro account, you’ll need to complete your profile. If you are an eligible US visa holder, complete the questionnaire as follows:

  1. Uncheck the box “This country is both my birthplace and country of citizenship”.
  2. Select your place of birth.
  3. Select your country of citizenship.
  4. Under “Citizenship status”, select the visa type from the dropdown.
  5. Complete the phone verification.
  6. Complete the SSN validation.
  7. Submit a photo of your US visa with a valid expiration date of at least 90 days from the day of sign-up.
