How can I enable crypto trading in my existing account as a New York resident?

Crypto trading is available to New York residents on etoro. Existing account holders can enable it alongside their securities.
How do I enable crypto trading?
To enable crypto trading on your existing account:
- Sign in to your etoro account.
- You should see a prompt to review and accept the updated Terms & Conditions. It may take up to 48 hours for your account update to take effect. You may also need to log out and back in of your etoro account to help process the update.
- Once the update has taken effect, re-establish your funding method by making a new deposit of $1 or more. This reconnects your payment method and enables future deposits and withdrawals.
What will change after I accept the Terms & Conditions?
Your portfolio
Stock positions you already had open will move to the Options section of your Portfolio tab. Any new stock positions you open will appear in your Stocks & Crypto Portfolio.
Your balance
You can move your balance between portfolio types seamlessly using the Wallet tab.
New deposits will be credited directly to your Stocks & Crypto balance.
Your funding method
You'll need to re-establish your funding method after the update to enable deposits and withdrawals. You can do this from the Wallet tab by making a new deposit of $1 or more.
What if I don't accept the Terms & Conditions?
Your account will stay exactly as it is. You won't have access to crypto trading, but your existing securities account, open positions, and balance are unaffected.

New York residents have access to a selection of approved cryptoassets. Check the full list here.
