How do I close / sell an open position?

You can request to close / sell an open trade at any time on etoro.

Your request will be executed during market hours.

etoro app

1. Go to your Portfolio here (or enter the etoro app and tap Portfolio at the bottom of the screen) to see all the instruments you are currently trading.
2. Tap on the relevant instrument to see the breakdown into individual positions.
3. Tap on the position you wish to close, then tap Close Trade at the bottom of the new screen.
4. Alternatively, swipe left on the position you wish to close and tap the X, then tap Sell at the bottom of the new screen.

Desktop/web

1. Go to your Portfolio here (or click Portfolio in the left-hand menu) to see all the instruments you are currently trading.
2. Click on the relevant instrument to see the breakdown into individual positions.
3. Click Sell next to the position you wish to close.
4. On the new screen, click Sell at the bottom.
