How do I send cryptoassets from my etoro crypto wallet?

To send crypto from your etoro crypto wallet to an external wallet, follow the steps below.

etoro app

1. Go to the Wallet tab.
2. Under 'Crypto Wallet', select the type of crypto you wish to send.
3. Press Send.
4. Select the amount to send and type or paste the recipient's public address.
5. Ensure the address is entered correctly, then tap Send.
6. Enter the SMS code sent to your mobile phone and tap Verify.
7. Confirmation that we've received your request to send the crypto will appear.

etoro AI

In the etoro AI app, the wallet is opened from the Home tab rather than a bottom tab.

1. On the Home tab, tap Crypto wallet.
2. Select the wallet of the crypto you wish to send.
3. Tap Send.
4. Select the amount to send and type or paste the recipient's public address.
5. Ensure the address is entered correctly, then tap Send.
6. Enter the SMS code sent to your mobile phone and tap Verify.
7. Confirmation that we've received your request to send the crypto will appear.

You can view the status of your send request and past transactions in the wallet by tapping on the cryptoasset.

Important information

• Depending on the recipient type, crypto type, and transfer amount, you may be required to provide additional information before your transfer is processed, in line with US regulatory requirements under the Travel Rule.
• Transfers from third-party wallets or unsupported sources may not be processed and can result in loss of access to the transferred cryptoassets.
• You can use a public blockchain explorer to check whether a wallet address is valid before sending crypto.

Additional requirements for self-hosted wallets

• ETH wallets (including ERC-20 tokens) must support WalletConnect to help verify wallet ownership.
• BTC wallets must support message signing to confirm control of the wallet address without sharing your private key.
