What does 'Pending Close' mean?

Last updated: 12 August 2026

If you choose to close a position outside the asset’s trading hours, your request is not executed immediately and the position moves into'Pending Close' status.

As soon as trading resumes, your order is executed at the best available price. This price may be different from the one shown when you pressed Close Trade.

While the position is in 'Pending Close' status, you can select it in your portfolio and press Cancel Order to keep it open.

'Pending Close' in CopyTrader and Smart Portfolios

If you stop copying a trader or close an investment in a Smart Portfolio, and it is outside the trading hours of any of the portfolio’s assets, those positions will show as 'Pending Close' until the market reopens.

In CopyTrader and Smart Portfolio investments, 'Pending Close' cannot be cancelled for the copy as a whole or for individual positions.

Your copy will be fully closed only once all trades within it are closed. At that point, all its funds will be credited to your available balance.
