Why can't I open a short (SELL) position?

etoro is one of the world's most popular trading platforms, and in 2018 it opened its doors to the U.S. market.
For the moment, not all markets are available to trade and certain features are disabled. Note, sell positions are also not currently available on any stocks and ETFs.
A gradual rollout is planned - we are now in the initial phase of the U.S. launch, and we are hoping to launch additional features soon.
