There are two possible reasons you may encounter an error when entering your Social Security Number (SSN):
You may have accidentally created a duplicate account.
Our platform does not allow the same SSN to be registered on more than one account.
Try to locate your original etoro account by searching for "etoro" in your email inbox. Be sure to check all email addresses that might be associated with your etoro account. Once you find your original account, please attempt to regain access instead of creating a new one.
If you are unable to locate your original account, please contact Customer Service and attach a copy of your identity document (driver's license, passport, or state ID).
One of our team members will then assist you with recovering your original account.
Your account may require manual verification.
To complete the verification of your account, our team will need to review legible images of the following documents:
- Proof of identity: a driver’s license, passport, or state ID
- Proof of address: a recent utility bill or bank statement (issued within the last three months)
- The front and back of your SSN card
You can securely upload these documents via the Verification Center.
Our verification department will manually review your documents and complete the verification process. If any additional documents are needed, we will contact you through your registered email address.
