Why do I need to link a new payment method to withdraw funds?

If you request a withdrawal from your etoro investment account via wire transfer and it isn’t already linked to a bank or PayPal account, we’ll ask you to link a new payment method.

To do this, you’ll need to make a new deposit of at least $1. This is not a fee - you’ll be able to withdraw it along with the rest of your funds as soon as it clears.

To link a bank account or a PayPal account to your etoro investment account:

1. Press on “Link my account via deposit” (or on the left-hand navigation go to “Deposit Funds”).
2. Choose an amount to fund your account. $1 is the minimum amount.
3. Press on the dropdown arrow next to the payment method.
4. Select Bank Account or PayPal. Debit card deposits cannot be used for this process. If you choose Bank Account, select your bank from the list.
5. Enter the credentials of your payment method.
6. Press “Deposit” to complete the process.

As soon as your deposit is approved, you may request to withdraw funds to the linked payment method.

Important Notes

• Deposits via PayPal are accepted from the PayPal balance or linked bank accounts only.
• You can withdraw funds deposited via PayPal immediately, while funds deposited from a linked bank account can only be withdrawn after 7 days.
