Two Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to access your etoro investment account. It requires you to enter a unique verification code sent to your mobile phone via SMS or phone call in addition to your username and password.
2FA provides significant extra protection to gain access to your account over just password authentication. Since you need two factors to enter into your account, 2FA aims to protect your account from being accessed by someone who is not the account holder.
When 2FA is active, it will be required when logging into your account on the web version of etoro or on the etoro mobile app, on all devices, browsers, and app versions (iOS and Android). If you do not have 2FA activated, click here to find out how to.
