How do I enable push notifications on my mobile device?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
You can keep up to date with your etoro account activity via push notifications on your phone/tablet, which you can turn on or off according to your preferences.
When signing in to your etoro account, you may also receive two-factor authentication (2FA) codes on your trusted mobile device via push notifications.
To receive push notifications, you must ensure that you have enabled them in your mobile device’s settings. How you do this depends on the operating system that your device uses:
Android:
- Open the ⚙️ Settings app from your home screen.
- Tap 'Notifications' or 'Sound and Notifications' (terms may vary depending on the device).
- On some devices, a list of apps will already appear. If not, select ‘Applications’ or ‘Apps’.
- Select etoro from the list of apps.
- Activate the option 'Allow Notifications'.
Many different brands use Android, so if the above instructions do not apply to your device, we recommend searching online for your specific phone/tablet brand’s instructions.
iOS (iPhone/iPad):
- Open the ⚙️ Settings app from your home screen.
- Tap ‘Notifications’.
- Scroll down the list of apps and select etoro.
- Switch on the slider labelled 'Allow Notifications'.
For both Android and iOS, there are additional customisation options for notifications and how you may receive them. Adjust these as you see fit, but doing so may affect the visibility of our notifications.
As long as you have enabled notifications on your trusted mobile device, the 2FA code will arrive via push notification, regardless of your settings on the etoro app.
