What is a trusted mobile device?

Once a phone or tablet is recognised as trusted by etoro, you can open the etoro app quickly and easily, without needing to enter your password or a verification code.
If there’s an attempt to log in from a different device or browser, you will receive a push notification on your trusted device.
You can set your mobile device as trusted in one of two ways:
- Activate biometric authentication on the etoro app.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to receive a code via SMS or phone call.
If you log out of your account on your trusted device, or more than 45 days have passed since your last login, the device will no longer be trusted. You can always authenticate it again.
If a mobile device is not trusted, you can still log in via SMS or phone call.
