How do I open and close trades in my etoro Stocks and Shares ISA powered by Moneyfarm?

In a Stocks and Shares ISA, you can invest in UK and US-listed stocks, as well as UK-listed ETFs, bonds, and mutual funds.

If you choose to invest in US stocks, you'll need to complete a W-8BEN form, even if you’ve already filled one out on your etoro account. We’ll ask you to fill it out when you buy your first US stock.

To open a trade:

1. Go to the ISA section from the side menu.
2. Click Discover Assets (at the top-right in the etoro mobile app; on the left-hand menu in the web version of etoro).
3. Search for and select an asset.
4. Click Buy.
5. Choose whether to place a market or limit order.
6. Choose how many shares.
7. Confirm the details of the order.

To close a trade:

1. Go to the ISA section from the side menu.
2. Select Stocks and Shares ISA.
3. Scroll down to see your holdings.
4. Select the holding you want to sell.
5. Click Sell.
6. Choose between a market or limit sale.
7. Choose how many shares.
8. Confirm the order.
