What does the display price of an asset represent?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
In addition to the two-way pricing on assets, there is also a markup (spread fee) charged by etoro for certain asset types. So, these assets on etoro have four different prices at any given time:
- The bid (sell) price
- The ask (buy) price
- The bid (sell) price with spread fee
- The ask (buy) price with spread fee
Below is a visual representation of the relative value of each price alongside the others.
The etoro spread fee applies only to specific asset types, including commodities, currency pairs, and indices. Visit our fees page for more information on the markup amount as it is specific to each asset.
