What is an ETF?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Exchange-traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund that tracks an index, a commodity or bonds and is traded on stock exchanges.
When you buy shares of an ETF, you are tracking the return of the investment in the original asset or portfolio of assets.
