Can I trade US stocks in EUR on etoro?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
A limited selection of popular US stocks is available on etoro for purchase in euros instead of US dollars.
These are the same underlying companies, but they are listed on the Xetra exchange and traded in euros during EU trading hours.
How do they work?
The EUR versions:
- represent the same underlying US-listed company
- are listed on the Xetra exchange
- are traded in EUR instead of USD
- follow EU trading hours
When you open a position in a EUR stock, you are investing in the Europe-listed version of that company’s shares.
Who can benefit from trading EUR stocks?
These instruments may be particularly relevant for clients with a EUR local currency account, as they avoid unnecessary currency conversions.
Do EUR-listed US stocks remove FX exposure?
While EUR-listed US stocks let you trade in euros without converting to US dollars, they do not remove foreign exchange (FX) exposure.
The price is influenced by:
- the underlying US stock price in USD
- the EUR/USD exchange rate
As a result, changes in the EUR/USD rate can affect the value of your position, even when trading in EUR.
How do I know if a stock is traded in EUR?
The euro version is a separate asset on the platform.
You can identify it by the .EUR suffix at the end of the ticker symbol. For example, the EUR-traded version of Apple appears as AAPL.EUR.
Make sure you select the instrument with the .EUR suffix if you would like to trade the Xetra-listed version in euros.
