How can I transfer cryptoassets from the investment platform, as a client in Germany?

Clients who have consented to transfer custody of the cryptoassets in their portfolio from Tangany to etoro (Europe) Ltd have access to the etoro crypto wallet. They can transfer crypto positions to the etoro crypto wallet to manage them.

For clients who have not consented to move custody, crypto custody continues to be provided by our licensed and supervised partner, Tangany.

These clients do not have access to the etoro Crypto Wallet. To transfer crypto positions from the etoro platform to a self-hosted wallet, they must follow these steps:

1. Using the same email address registered to your etoro account, email withdrawal@tangany.com with the request ‘Please send me the application form' and include that you have an etoro account and your username. Detailed instructions can be found on Tangany’s Withdrawal page.
2. Tangany will reply with the requested form, which can be signed online.
3. After signing the form, you will receive a 'Receipt of request' with additional information.

Tangany will check your request and notify you via email if the transfer is approved. It may take up to 10 business days to verify and execute your transfer.

Important notes:

• We may contact you via telephone for the verification check, so please ensure that your contact details are up to date.
• Transfer requests can only be made for all open positions on a specific crypto in your portfolio. For example, if you have two open BTC positions, they can’t be transferred individually.
• Tangany charges a coin transfer fee of 2% of the transaction size, with a minimum of $1 USD, and up to a maximum of $100 USD.
• You can only transfer BUY (long), non-leveraged crypto positions that are secured with the underlying asset. CFD positions and cryptoassets held in copies (CopyTrader and Smart Portfolios) are not available for transfer.

Any network fees incurred in the respective cryptocurrency are also deducted directly from the transfer amount. Network fees may fluctuate over time and are beyond Tangany and etoro’s control. To successfully transfer, the size of the position must be sufficient to cover both fees.
