Why can’t I use my etoro Visa debit card?

If your card payment didn’t go through, or if you couldn’t withdraw cash from an ATM, it may be due to one of the reasons below.

• You don’t have enough funds in your account

Deposit to your local currency account or move funds to it from your USD account

• You’ve reached your transaction limit

Check the applicable daily, monthly and annual limits for card payments and ATM withdrawals

• Your card has expired

Order a replacement card

• Your card hasn’t been activated

Activate your card in the Wallet tab

• There’s a temporary network issue

Wait a few minutes and try again

• A contactless security check was triggered

Insert your card and complete a chip and PIN payment instead

Security or restriction reasons

Sometimes a transaction is declined automatically for security or policy reasons. This may happen if:

• Your card was temporarily blocked after a security review
• The transaction was attempted in a restricted country or region
• The merchant belongs to a restricted category
