What happens if the platform is down?

System outages can occur at any online brokerage from time to time, meaning that customers may not be able to log into the platform and manage their trades.
At etoro, we provide the Offline Mode service. This allows our clients to request to close their positions during system outages.
If the platform is down, the login screen will indicate that there is an outage and that Offline Mode is available.
We execute the order to close a position as soon as possible, at the market price when we close the position. This is not the price when the request to close the position was made. We cannot guarantee the execution price of the request.
Once the request is made, it is not possible to cancel it.
