What is the Economic Calendar?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
The Economic Calendar allows you to track all the important dates in a month for stocks and ETFs. You can see what the event is and when it's happening, and you have the option to open a trade directly from the calendar.
How do I access the Economic Calendar?
On the web version of etoro, click here, or find it in the sidebar under 'More'.
In the etoro AI app, open the side menu and tap Calendar.
Select the chip filters at the top of the page to choose whether to display dates for stocks that you hold in your portfolio, other popular stocks on etoro, or both.
What dates does the Economic Calendar show?
- Earnings Report: when the company publicly announces its earnings for the preceding period.
- Future earnings reports have day and night icons, indicating that they are expected to be released before the market opens (day icon) or after it closes (night icon).
- Dividend Payment: when a declared stock or ETF dividend is scheduled to be paid to eligible investors.
- Ex-dividend: the date that determines eligibility to receive a dividend.
- You must hold a position on the stock or ETF before the market opens on the ex-dividend date for the dividend payment to apply.
- Other economic events such as CPI data, interest rate hikes, and market holidays.
