Why can’t I trade CFDs?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
If you find that you are unable to trade CFDs, here are some possible reasons why:
- CFD trading is not permitted in your country of residence: Some countries’ local laws and/or certain regulators do not allow CFD trading.
- You do not have enough financial knowledge and trading experience: For regulatory reasons, CFD trading is allowed based on the information you provide in the ‘Experience and Objectives’ questionnaire when you complete your profile. If your answers suggest you might not be fully aware of the risks associated with CFD trades, we’ll safeguard your account by limiting access to them.
If your situation has changed since filling out the questionnaire, you can update your answers in your Verification Centre. Clients in certain countries may need to wait 7 days before retaking the test.
Keep in mind that changing the answers does not guarantee that CFD trading will be made available. Ensure your answers accurately reflect your current situation.
