Why can't I withdraw funds from my etoro investment account?
Last updated: 12 August 2026
To withdraw funds, you need to place a withdrawal request. If you are unable to do so, check the most common reasons below.
Minimum withdrawal amount
The minimum withdrawal amount is $30. A withdrawal fee of $5 is deducted when withdrawing from your USD account to your bank account. There is no withdrawal fee when withdrawing to your GBP or EUR local currency account.
Insufficient available balance
Only funds in your available balance can be withdrawn. Funds that are currently invested in open positions cannot be withdrawn until those positions are closed.
Account not fully verified orrestricted
If your account has missing documents or an active restriction, withdrawals may be unavailable until the issue is resolved. Check your Verification Centre to see what is required, or check if you have received an email from etoro with instructions.
Payment method not valid
If you have added a new payment method, it must be registered in your name and in your country of residence. Payment methods must also be active — if a card or account used for a previous deposit is no longer active, it may not be available for withdrawal.
Paymentmethodnotavailableforwithdrawal
Some payment methods, such as credit or debit cards, are only available for withdrawal within a certain timeframe after the deposit. If that timeframe has passed, it will no longer appear as an option. In which case, you may need to use an alternative method.
The available withdrawal options for your account will be shown in the withdrawal form.
