Why did I receive a different price when my trade was executed?

Last updated: 12 August 2026

The asset price shown on the etoro investment platform reflects the best available price at that time. However, this price is indicative and may differ slightly from the price at which your order can be executed.

Here's how it works:

  • Display price: This is the best available asset price. It reflects market conditions at that specific moment but does not account for factors like order size or liquidity.
  • Execution price: This is the best available price at which your order is executed. It is determined by available liquidity, your order size, and how the market behaves at the time of execution.

Whether your order is a market or limit order, or triggered by Stop Loss or Take Profit, it is executed at the best available price based on current market conditions. As a result, there may be a variation between the displayed price and the final execution price.

etoro uses safeguards to ensure your order is executed at the best available price under current market conditions.
