Why did I receive an SMS verification code from etoro though I don’t have an etoro account?

If you don’t have an etoro account but received an SMS verification code from etoro, it's possible that someone is trying to use your phone number on etoro.
This is not a breach on etoro's side, but rather a third party using your phone number on the etoro platform without authorization.
If you are certain that you don’t have an active account with us, please ignore any notifications or requests related to etoro.
