How do I deposit via instant bank transfer using open banking (UAE clients)?

Instant bank transfer is a fast and secure payment method, powered by Lean, for users in the UAE. You can add funds to your etoro account directly from your AED bank account.

To connect your local bank account to etoro using open banking:

1. Log in to your etoro account.
2. Open the side menu and select Deposit Funds.
3. Choose Instant Bank Transfer as your payment method.
4. Press Connect your bank account.
5. You are redirected to Lean to add your online banking credentials.
6. Press Connect Account.

Some UAE banks require a brief waiting period when first connecting via open banking, which can be anywhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours. During this time, deposits aren't possible. A countdown timer will display, and we will email you as soon as you can make a deposit.

To deposit via open banking once your account is connected

1. Open the side menu and select Deposit Funds.
2. Choose Instant Bank Transfer as your payment method.
3. Select your connected account.
4. Enter the amount you wish to deposit in AED.
5. Press Deposit.

In the etoro AI app, the first two steps are different:

• to connect your bank account, log in to your etoro AI account, then on the Home tab, open the side menu and tap Add Funds
• to make a deposit, on the Home tab, open the side menu and tap Add Funds

Once your payment is confirmed, the funds will be converted to USD and appear in your etoro balance. Most deposits are processed instantly after bank validation.

Important to know

• The maximum deposit per transaction is the AED equivalent of $250,000.
• Deposits via Lean are converted to USD. The estimated rate shown before you confirm includes a 3% conversion fee. The final exchange rate is determined when your payment is processed.
• You must wait three calendar days after each deposit via Lean before you can withdraw these funds or transfer crypto positions opened with them.
