What does the Portfolio Value represent?

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Not available in EN-US — showing English.

The Portfolio Value represents the current state of your account if you were to close all of your open positions and so realize your profit or loss.

Portfolio Value is referred to as ‘unrealized equity’ in the account statement.

Portfolio Value is the sum of:

  • Cash Available: The amount available in your USD investment account to open new trades. If you have a GBP or EUR account, the balance is included in the total.
  • Total Invested: All invested funds in manual trades and pending orders, net investments in copies and Smart Portfolios, and any fees or refunds from closed positions within copies and Smart Portfolios.
  • Profit/Loss: The current sum of your gains and losses from all open trades.

On the web version of etoro, these elements are displayed at the bottom of the screen:

On the etoro mobile app, the Portfolio Value is displayed at the top of the Home, Watchlist and Portfolio screens. Click on the arrows  next to the Portfolio Value to see the breakdown into Cash Available, Total Invested and Profit/Loss.
