Why is there less in my etoro account than I deposited?

If your etoro account has been credited less than you deposited, it may be due to one of these reasons:

1. Intermediary bank fees

If you deposit funds via regular bank transfer, there may be a fee charged by an intermediary bank. An intermediary bank is sometimes needed to transfer funds internationally from the issuing bank to the receiving bank. This often happens when two countries don’t have an established financial relationship. Intermediary banks may charge a fee of up to US $75 per transaction. This is not charged by etoro or your issuing bank.

Important note: If you reside in a region in which holding a local currency account is possible, you'll be asked to make either a Regular Bank Transfer or an Easy Bank Transfer to your account, or you'll be asked to create a local currency account to make the bank transfer. If you use a local currency account to make a bank transfer, there are no fees of the type described above.

2. Conversion fees
